Privacy policy

Effective 6 October 2026.

Evertone collects no data. The app has no accounts, ads or analytics, contains no third-party libraries and never connects to the internet. Nothing you do in the app reaches the developer or anyone else.

What stays on your watch

To remember your choices, the app saves a few settings on the watch:

• the instrument, volume and tuning you picked,
• whether the Whisper explanation has been shown,
• on watches without the double tap gesture: how you raise your hand to your ear, a few numbers describing how the watch sits at your ear.

These settings live only in the watch’s storage and are removed when you delete the app. The app never sends them anywhere.

Motion sensors

On watches without the double tap gesture, Whisper uses the motion sensors to tell when the watch is at your ear. Readings are analysed on the watch as they come in, only while a note is waiting to play or calibration is running. They are neither stored nor sent anywhere.

Microphone

Evertone uses the microphone only to recognise a note you sing or play, and only while the listening sheet is open. The sound is analysed as it comes, on the watch, and is never recorded, saved or sent. watchOS asks for your permission first, and you can turn the microphone off in the watch’s Settings.

This website

This site uses no cookies and no external fonts. Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics: a Cloudflare script records each page view (the address, the page you came from, your browser type, country and load time) without cookies, without fingerprinting and without following you to other sites, and the developer sees only totals. Your browser keeps only the theme and language you pick. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, whose servers, like any web server, may technically log your IP address and the time of your visit.

Email list

If you sign up for updates on this site, we keep your email address and the site's language. They are used only to send you news about Evertone: first the launch, then what's new. The list is run for us by Buttondown (buttondown.com), which stores the addresses and sends the emails. You confirm with a link in an email, and the basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time: every email has an unsubscribe link, or write to us and we'll delete your address. We don't share it with anyone else.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date.
